Inferno Cop

Inferno Cop is a police officer with a flaming skull that will dole out justice on any criminal, no matter who they are. His greatest foe, however, is the evil Southern Cross who he vows revenge upon after they murder him, his wife, and child. The only thing stopping him? Being easily distracted.

This anime, created by Studio Trigger, is more than a little weird. If anything, it is the living embodiment of weird. The best way I can describe it would be if someone's bored doodles were turned into an anime. It's like what would happen if you watch Ghost Rider and decided you know what, he needs to be more weird and awkward with a gun that explodes everything.

Inferno Cop killing off a group of troublemakers.

As you can see, there's no real animation. In fact the story is told completely with stationary cutout characters, many of them even reused for other scenes. There also isn't any real story. It's absolutely chaotic, jumping all over the place and doing everything it can to jam as much oddness as possible into each episode, which by the way are only about 2:30 a piece.

Inferno Cop being given the death penalty, which is both ironic and hilarious.

Inferno Cop in Hell, a place he says he has never actually seen even though that's where he came from.

Here's the thing about Inferno Cop; it's insane, it's over the top, it's wildly colored, and the voice acting is amazing. It's everything Studio Trigger is known for and because of that, you can't look away, you're literally grabbed and forced along on the wild ride that is Inferno Cop and you should 100% watch every single episode because it's the perfect mix of hilarious and crazy.
